The proposed intervention aims to increase the knowledge of 100 young and elderly Roma about the electoral rights and responsibilities in order to assure that their right to vote will be fulfilled freely and without any pressures. Main target group are 100 young Roma (aged 18 years and above) that will have the opportunity to vote for the first time in some elections in the country. The interventions, if determined on the field, with include more adults citizens from the Roma ethnic group in order to also increase their knowledge about their rights and responsibilities during the elections, knowledge to conduct review if they are listed in the Electoral Register or not and similar in order to eliminate the possibilities for influence and/or pressures to Roma community, especially the young and elderly in municipalities of Chair (Roma settlement Topaana) and municipality of Bitola (Roma settlement Bair) in the upcoming country elections and beyond.
With this project at least 100 young and elderly Roma from 2 development regions in Macedonia will gain knowledge about their rights and responsibilities related to their right to vote that can be applied during the next elections in the country.
